Heading back to the office after several months away can feel daunting for everyone. To ease you back in as smoothly as possible, we’ve created some helpful hints and tips for you to follow.

HANDS FREE – don’t touch

When welcoming clients into your office, it’s second nature to reach out and shake their hand, but due to social distancing rules, this isn’t possible right now. Try a wave and a smile instead. Hopefully we’ve all gotten used to this during video calls over the last few months!

SCRAP THE STATIONERY – sharing isn’t caring

Sharing equipment and stationary isn’t advisable at the moment.
You can encourage your clients to bring their own pen to any meetings. But why not stock up on some branded stationary for your clients to use and keep?
You could host a social media campaign, asking your clients to post a picture of their new branded pen and tag your company page. What a great way to spread the word that business is getting back to normal!

BE KEEN TO KEEP CLEAN – easier done than said

Washing your hands is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself and others from illnesses. To ensure a thorough clean, the government recommends that you wash your hands for at least 20 seconds (or the time it takes to sing “Happy Birthday” twice.) If you get bored of that song, there are hundreds of others, just look at the hashtag #WashYourLyrics for some great ideas! Place pump-bottles of hand gel around your office and encourage your colleagues and clients to use them frequently.

SMILE THROUGH A SCREEN – virtually the same

If you, your clients or employees aren’t comfortable getting back into the office just yet, you can still meet virtually, via a video call.
Programs like Skype and Zoom have free options, and you can send a meeting link via email or text message, to suit your needs.

GERMS, GET LOST! – you’re uninvited!

We know you like to keep your office looking clean and tidy, but what about the dirt you can’t see? Make sure that you clean high touch-point areas, such as your phone, keyboard and mouse more regularly, to help stop the spread of infection.
